Join NEACHMM on October 25th at 6:00pm for a one-of-a-kind event where we will screen a very important 90-minute documentary about the PFAS scandal in West Virgina. Your NEACHMM Vice-President, JoAnn Ranslow, has graciously offered UMASS Medical School's conference room to host the screening (Directions to campus  UMASS Medical School – Albert Sherman Center (AS1.2130) 55 Lake Ave. North Worcester, MA 01655 Please park in the visitor parking garage!)

  We will not be charging admission for this event but we will be accepting donations to put toward the NEACHMM scholarship fund. A pizza dinner will be provided during the viewing, so please register for this event so we have an official attendance count. We look forward to seeing you there!

"My name is Denae Peters; I'm part of the team supporting the film THE DEVIL WE KNOW--a documentary unraveling one of the biggest environmental scandals of our time. This shocking and inspirational film portrays the lives of a group of citizens in West Virginia who take on a powerful corporation after they discover it has knowingly been dumping a toxic chemical compound (PFAS)--one found in the blood of 99.7% of Americans--into the drinking water supply. This community is not alone. In May, an EWG analysis of unreleased data estimated that more than 1,500 drinking water systems, serving up to 110 million Americans, may be contaminated with PFAS chemicals. Film Sprout is working closely with organizers whose efforts support public health and environmental justice to ensure that this transformative film is used as a tool for conversation and action today.
