NEACHMM is excited to announce our first meeting of 2018 to be held at Brown University on 111 Thayer Street, Providence, RI (Joukowsky Institute in the Watson Institute) on January 9th, 2018. We are partnering with the ASSE Greater Boston Chapter to bring to you an original event during which a panel of various energy experts will present a discussion about current power sources (e.g. Hydro, Solar, Nuclear, Wind, Fossil Fuel). 

The event curriculum is as follows:

• Doors open at 1:00pm to provide ample time for potential traffic and weather conflicts and to allow for brief networking; refreshments will be served. 

• The event will start promptly at 2:00pm and your host, Past-President Matthew Montefusco, CHMM, will introduce the following slated panelists (list subject to change):

Sean Caldwell  – Fossil Fuels/Steam 

Matt Allred - Hydro

Michael Goulart - Solar

Bill Howard (Bio attached) – Solar/NationalGrid

• The panel presentation is slated to last for 2 hours during which you will learn about the current state and future of these alternative energy sources. Additionally, Scott Ray of ASSE (Bio attached) has offered to present a Safety Segment on "Fall Protection for Wind Turbine Towers and Solar Panel Installations". This session will conclude with a Q&A proctored by Matt Montefusco. 

• Immediately following the Q&A is a buffet sandwich dinner. The event will close at 5:30pm.

And as we often do we would like to extend an invite to any attendees to join us after the event at a local pub for more networking and discussion.

This event will qualify credentialed attendees for 1 CMP toward recertification.
