Topic:           Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of

Chemicals (REACH) is the European Union regulation, adopted to improve the

protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be

posed by chemicals. This regulation, which is now being adopted by other

countries, has changed the landscape of chemical risk management across the

globe. This presentation discusses the REACH journey of a U.S. based Specialty

Materials company serving a variety of market segments including electronics,

transportation, semiconductor, energy & power, printing and a variety of other

market segments. Challenges faced by the manufacturers and/or importers of

chemical substances, preparations and articles are also discussed in this case

study.
